Crownlands1. Where these rules apply
These Guidelines apply to Crownlands usernames, profile text, profile locations, avatars, uploaded images, custom map names and descriptions, public maps, room names, reports and appeals. The Terms of Use also apply.
Strategy, negotiation, alliances and betrayal performed through the intended game rules are part of play. They become a moderation issue only when they include prohibited content, harassment, cheating or abuse outside those mechanics.
2. Respect people
Do not use Crownlands to:
- harass, threaten, stalk, shame or repeatedly target another person;
- promote hatred or dehumanization based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender, sexual orientation or another protected characteristic;
- publish another person's address, contact details, credentials or other private information;
- impersonate another person, the Crownlands operator or a moderator;
- encourage self-harm, violence, exploitation or illegal activity.
3. Keep shared content appropriate
Do not publish content that is sexually exploitative, pornographic, deliberately shocking, fraudulent, malicious, infringing, spam, or designed to evade moderation. Never sexualize or exploit minors.
You must have the right to use images, names and other material you upload. Map designs can be competitive or expressive, but their public names, descriptions and previews must follow these rules.
Private game state is not automatically made public by a report. A report stores a bounded server snapshot of the specific visible profile, avatar metadata, map summary or room information needed for review.
4. Play fairly
Do not use unauthorized automation, exploit defects, manipulate ratings, coordinate fake results, interfere with another player's connection, or attempt to bypass access and security controls. Report a reproducible exploit privately rather than using it in live matches.
Good-faith strategic coordination inside a match is allowed when the game rules permit it. Multiple accounts used to distort matchmaking, ratings or reports are not allowed.
5. Reports and blocks
Registered users who accepted the current Terms and Guidelines can report a profile, avatar, public map or room. Choose the closest reason and provide enough detail for review. False, retaliatory, repetitive or automated reports violate these Guidelines.
The reported item is immediately hidden only from the reporter. Reports do not automatically hide content globally or suspend an account. A site administrator reviews the server evidence before a global action.
Blocking a user hides that user's profile, avatar, public maps and public room listings from your view. It is one-way and content-only: it does not alter matchmaking, direct room joining, an existing match or shared replay history. You can remove a block in Account Settings.
6. Moderation actions
Depending on context, severity and history, Crownlands may dismiss a report, ask for correction, hide a specific item, restore corrected content, warn a user, suspend an account or permanently terminate access under the Terms.
There is no report-count auto-quarantine. Multiple reports can help prioritize review, but an administrator remains responsible for the decision. Serious safety or legal risk can require immediate restriction while facts are reviewed.
7. Appeals
If your content is hidden or your account is suspended, Account Settings shows the active action and an appeal form. Explain what was corrected or why the decision should be reconsidered. Do not create duplicate appeals or contact reviewers aggressively.
An administrator can accept and restore content or access, reject the appeal, or keep it under review. Moderation reports, decisions and appeals are normally retained for up to 365 days for consistency, abuse prevention and dispute handling, subject to the Privacy Policy.
